Terms of Use for ZeroAuth

These Terms govern your use of ZeroAuth, provided by Optional Labs India.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using ZeroAuth, you agree to these Terms.

2. License

Optional Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ZeroAuth for your personal or internal business authentication needs, subject to these Terms.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your device secure, protecting your PIN or biometric access, verifying the accuracy of account details you add, and safely handling any backup file or backup QR code you create, store, or share.

4. Restrictions

You must not misuse the app, interfere with its security, reverse engineer it except where non-waivable law permits, use it for unlawful activity, attempt to bypass protective measures, or use the app in a way that infringes third-party rights.

5. No guarantee of uninterrupted availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that the app will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device or operating-system version.

6. Security and backup risk

Authentication data is highly sensitive. If you export, share, screenshot, sync, upload, or otherwise expose backup content or device contents, you assume that risk. Optional Labs is not liable for unauthorized access caused by loss of device control, insecure backups, malware, phishing, shoulder-surfing, or user error.

7. Third-party platforms

Your use of the app may also be subject to the terms of Apple, Google, or other platform providers. Optional Labs is not responsible for third-party stores, device manufacturers, carriers, or external services.

8. Intellectual property

ZeroAuth, its branding, software, design, text, graphics, and related content are owned by or licensed to Optional Labs and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

9. Disclaimer

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Except as required by applicable law, Optional Labs disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Optional Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of access to accounts, or compromise arising from your device security, exported backups, or third-party acts. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is higher.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Optional Labs from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
